Abstract

This editorial aims to contextualise the current status of the journal, as well as to summarise the latest developments of Political Perspectives, in a new phase commencing in 2024 with the current volume. These advancements can be categorised into three broad sets of actions: diffusion, which includes expanding the reach of the journal to other audiences and sharing the knowledge that has been developed within the boundaries of the editorial committee; simplification, which involves standardising rules and procedures and making them easily available to both editors and collaborators; and optimisation, that is, the redefinition of the journal’s main purpose and scope, in alignment with the work that has been done on the other two fronts. We conclude with the expectation that these new developments could benefit everyone involved with the editorial processes, pushing academic publishing knowledge to new boundaries and bringing together academic and non-academic audiences in a fruitful and enriching knowledge exchange.
